Studied in the library all day on Derrida’s idea of deconstruction. Really interresting stuff! The basic idea is that we construct our reallity through words, because we define a word (identity - what it is) bij other words (difference - what it not is) ad infinitum. So what we take as knowledge is constructed through language (linguistic turn). Deconstruction breaks down ‘common’ knowledge, in doing this, creating an new knowledge, what also is to be deconstructed. By doing this showing a multitude of interpretations of the same text.
